Conozcan a Nobel Llamosas amigo mío de hace años, muchos años, como también su familia con la mía. Quizás somos de esas familias que comparten todo y mantienen vivencias en conjunto, porque somos Mbigüenses y aquellas épocas doradas del Club no sólo permanecen en nuestras memorias sino que también en nuestros corazones. Nobel había llamado un par de días antes a casa y saltó la gran noticia: "Tía, voy a saltar en paracaídas", le dijo a mi mamá. Ella corriendo vino y me lo dijo, mientras mi hermana conversaba con él. Corrí también hacia el teléfono y le dije "Nobel, yo me voy a ir contigo y voy a fotografiarte todo lo que necesites, yo también salté en paracaídas hace 15 años atrás, sólo que militar". Sí, tengo las 3 fotos que logré tomarme en el aire allá en 1995 junto con mi vieja Rollei 35, ya las expondré aquí para Ustedes. Pero volviendo a esta historia, podemos decir que el 15 de Agosto de 2010, en el Paracaidismo Paraguayo se hizo historia. Nobel, tiene movilidad limitada debido a una espasticidad producida por una parálisis cerebral; por ello, sería la primera vez en nuestro país que una persona con discapacidad, haga el salto en paracaídas. Claro que el salto se hace con sistema Tandem (con un instructor). Las limitaciones de mi querido Nobel sólo son motrices, en otros ámbitos no tiene ninguna limitación, porque él vive su vida plenamente, y me viene a la memoria aquellas gloriosas noches del Mbigua (que su papá, mi tío Don Rafa me lo recordó) cuando el club hacía sus fiestas y Nobel saltaba de su silla de ruedas y bailaba arrodillado en el medio de la pista con todo el mundo, porque él siempre se hizo querer; o de las veces en la playa del Mbigua, o las veces que con Nobel hablamos sobre mujeres... sí, tenemos ese tipo de conversaciones de hombres desde hace mucho. Con esta experiencia se demostró no sólo la fortaleza de Nobel como un modelo a seguir, como un ejemplo a tener en cuenta para otras personas que creen que están condicionadas, y sólo ocurre porque ciertas partes de la podrida sociedad así lo permiten. Recordemos mi post anterior ""Aprobado o no por Parigual" de Mayo de este año. Comenzó una página nueva en el Paracaidismo Paraguayo, donde no se cierran las puertas a quienes se animan a saltar, sin importar su condición. A fin de cuentas yo opino que la palabra discapacidad no va con la figura de Nobel, porque él demuestra con coraje que es muy capaz.

Meet Nobel Llamosas friend of mine from years ago, many years, as well as his family with mine. Perhaps we are of those families who share experiences and keep everything together, because we are from Mbigua and those golden ages in the Club not only stay in our memories but also in our hearts. Nobel had called to my home a couple of days before and jumped the big news: "Auntie, I'm going to skydive," he told to my mom. She came running and told me, while my sister was talking to him. I also ran to the phone and told him, "Nobel, I'm going with you and I will photograph everything you need, I also jumped by parachute 15 years ago, only military". Yes, I have the 3 photos that I could take me in the air back in 1995 along with my old Rollei 35, and will be here for you in the future. But back to this story, we can say that the August 15, 2010, history was made in the Paraguayan Skydiving. Nobel, have limited mobility due to spasticity caused by cerebral palsy, so it would be the first time in our country that a person with disabilities, make the parachute jump. Of course, the jump is made with Tandem system (with an instructor). The limitations of my dear Nobel are only regarding to motion, in other areas has no limitations, because he lives his life fully, and I am reminded of those glorious nights of Mbigua (his dad, my uncle Don Rafa reminded me) when the club had festivals and Nobel leaped from his wheelchair and danced on his knees in the middle of the dancing floor with everyone, because he always make the others love him, or sometimes on the beach of Mbigua, or the times when we talk about women with Nobel ... yes, we have those kinds of conversations of men long ago. With this experience not only demonstrated the strength of Nobel as a role model as an example to be considered for other people who believe they are conditional, and only occurs because certain parts of the rotten society permit. Remember my previous post "Approved or not by Parigual" on May this year. He started a new page in the Parachuting of Paraguay, where the doors are not closed to those who dare to jump, regardless of their situation. Ultimately I think that the word disability does not go with the figure of Nobel, because it shows that is courage is his strong ability.

10:55 - Llegamos a los hangares de la Aviación, donde el primer grupo de paracaidistas deportivos había decolado desde la Unidad del Grupo Aerotáctico rumbo a los cielos. En tierra, un segundo grupo se disponía a prepararse para cuando sea su turno.
10:55 - We arrived at the hangar of Aviation, where the first group of skydivers had take off from the unit Air-tactic Group towards the sky. On land, a second group was preparing the equipment for their turn.



El Paracaidismo en Paraguay es un deporte que reune a amantes de esta disciplina como familiares, que cada domingo se reúnen como cualquier otro grupo de amigos que van a jugar al fútbol o al volleyball. En este hangar se encargan de preparar y doblar los equipos de manera a que algunos llegan a hacer entre 3 a 4 saltos en un mismo día.
The Skydiving in Paraguay is a sport that brings together lovers of this discipline as family members who gather every Sunday like any other group of friends who are going to play soccer or volleyball. In this hangar they are responsible for preparing and fold up to packing the equipments so they could be able to make between 3-4 jumps in a single day.



El "maestro" en DOMPA (DOblado y Mantenimiento de PAracaídas) Fabrizio Conti, es quien con una pericia inigualable prepara los equipos para su uso, con gran velocidad y técnica. Una labor que requiere de mucha concentración y seriedad, puesto que todos los paracaidistas confían depositando sus vidas en estas manos que realizan el trabajo sagradamente.
The "master" in parachutes rigger (Packing and Maintenance of Parachutes) Fabrizio Conti, is the one with a unique expertise in preparing the equipment to be used, with great speed and technique. A task that requires much concentration and seriousness, as all the skydivers trust their lives in these hands that do the work sacredly.




11:36 - El primer grupo de paracaidistas ya se había lanzado, y algunos ya llegaron a tierra. En la segunda foto vemos el Tandem, que es el último en lanzarse porque lo hace desde mayor altura que los demás, y se suma a esto que la superficie del paracaídas es mayor, produciendo un descenso mucho más lento.
11:36 - The first group of skydivers had already been released, and some have already made landfall. 11:38 - Ahora queda el gran trabajo de doblar y volver a empaquetar los paracaídas en sus respectivas mochilas. La primera etapa consiste en estirar las cuerdas y "desinflar" el velamen.

Como nota al margen, la marca KURUPEE (Kurupí) es una de las más famosas y utilizadas en el mundo del paracaidismo, y es un orgullo nacional. 12:22 - At this time they tell me that Nobel has been wearing the special suit of skydiving. "Cuidado ahí, no me dejes sin futuro!!", exclamó Nobel y todos estallamos en risa. Su espíritu guerrero, fuerte y a la vez tranquilo es una de sus principales virtudes. "Careful there, do not leave me with no future!", said Nobel and all of us burst into laughter. His warrior spirit, strong and yet calm is one of its main virtues.

"Bien Nobel, ya no hay marcha atrás", dijo Don Rafa. Estábamos en la camioneta rumbo al Grupo Aerotáctico; lugar donde se dirigen los paracaidistas en otro vehículo, para abordar el avión que los llevaría a más de 13.000 pies.
"Nobel Well, there's no going back," said Mr. Rafa. We were in the truck heading for the Aero-tactical unit, a place where skydivers are directed in the other truck, to board the plane that would take them more than 13,000 feet.



12:50 - Ya estábamos en la unidad del Grupo Aerotáctico. Don Rafa cambia los anteojos de Nobel por otros de contacto.

12:52 - Cuatro de los paracaidistas realizan sus ejercicios de trabajo relativo, que sería una especie de ensayo de los ejercicios que harán durante la caída libre. Lo hacen una y otra vez en tierra, antes de controlar sus equipos y subir al avión. 12:52 - Four of the skydivers do their work on exercises that would be a kind of test that will be execute during free fall. They do this over and over again on the ground, before checking their equipment and board the plane.

12:54 - El piloto del CASA C-212 -avión desde donde saltarán los paracaidistas-, saluda a Nobel, deseándole buena suerte para el salto y alentándolo.

12:58 - Ya estamos listos. El grupo se dirige al CASA, y Rafi Llamosas acompañará a Nobel en el avión para tomar fotografías durante el vuelo y el momento del salto.

13:02 - Mariana y "Coco" Ibarra sellan los últimos segundos en tierra con un beso antes de partir. Esta pareja tuvo un casamiento en el aire.

13:05 - El transporte ya está listo para decolar por la pista y luego despegar. Fuerza Nobel!. Nosotros volvemos a Campo Grande.

13:12 - La espera se hace eterna. El avión aún no pasó sobre nosotros en la aviación, como parte de su ritual en este proceso. Mientras tanto un tío de Nobel camina por la zona de aterrizaje con impaciencia.

13:15 - Finalmente el CASA C-212 sobrevuela el campo de aterrizaje de la aviación, aún deberán dar una vuelta más hasta alcanzar los 13.000 pies.

13:32 - El primer grupo ya saltó del avión, a prácticamente 4000 metros (13.000 pies). 13:34 - Desde una altura de 13.000 pies, los paracaidistas tienen aproximadamente 60 segundos de caída libre. El altímetro que cada uno lleva en forma obligatoria posee un sistema de apertura automática, para aquellos casos en donde el paracaidista pudo haber sufrido una conmoción y cae desvanecido. Luego de esos 60 segundos de pura adrenalina, el paracaídas se abre y pueden disfrutar de la maravillosa vista mientras planean un par de minutos más. Evidentemente para ellos lo más importante en el salto es la caída libre, porque planear les parece tan sólo un paseo en un día de domingo.
13:34 - From a height of 13,000 feet, the skydivers have approximately 60 seconds of freefall. The altimeter (a mandatory equipment) that each of them carries has system with an automatic opening, for those cases where the jumper may have suffered a concussion and falls vanished. After those 60 seconds of pure adrenaline, the parachute opens and they can enjoy the wonderful view while planning a couple of minutes. Obviously the most important to them in the jump is the free-fall because planning, it just a trip day of Sunday.



13:37 - Uno de los paracaidistas (Gustavo) sufrió un golpe en el aterrizaje, razón por la que tuvo que ser asistido con primeros auxilios. Luego de un minuto la camioneta que habíamos visto en una imagen anterior accede hasta el campo de aterrizaje de paracaidistas para trasladarlo al sector de "Sanidad" de la Fuerza Aérea.
13:37 - One of the skydivers (Gustavo) suffered a injury on landing, why it had to be assisted with first aid. After a minute the truck we had seen in a previous image access to the airfield of skydivers to move him to the sector "Health" of the Air Force.




13:40 - Los muchachos juntan sus equipos para llevarlos al área de doblado. Aún queda tiempo para un tercer salto e inclusive el cuarto; además el campo de aterrizaje debe liberarse rápidamente de manera a dar espacio a los que aún están en el aire. Nadie quiere perderse tampoco el momento del descenso de Nobel.
13:40 - The boys gether their equipment to take them to packing area. There is still time for a third jump and even a fourth, and the landing field should be released quickly so as to provide space for those who are still in the air. Nobody wants to miss either the time of Nobel jumping.

13:48 - A casi 5 kilómetros de altura, Nobel Llamosas hace su salto en Tandem con Andy Mazacotte, acompañado de Rubén Acosta y Richi Knapps que se encarga de filmar esa aventura. Nobel está en el cielo con diamantes. 13:48 - Nearly five miles high, Nobel Llamosas makes the tandem jump with Andy Mazacotte, together with Ruben Acosta and Richi Knapps in charge of filming this adventure. 13:48 - Segundos antes de la imagen anterior, los muchachos se lanzan desde la rampa del CASA. Nobel, muy decidido ya no quiere esperar para sentir la libertad de estar en el aire. Finalmente, Nobel consigue la mejor sensación del mundo: volar, y es irónico que la mejor sensación del mundo sea no estar en él.

Lo primero que dijo Nobel cuando todos se acercaron para ayudarlos a él y a Mazacotte fue "Aquí no da gusto, allá arriba da gusto...". Sin palabras.

14:00 - Andy Mazacotte se había quitado todo el equipo y se acercó a Nobel para felicitarlo. Don Rafa besa los pies del instructor, por haberle dado la tranquilidad que todo padre merece en una situación de este tipo, y sobre todo por haber descendido con Nobel con extremo cuidado.
14:00 - Andy Mazacotte had removed all equipment and approached to congratulate Nobel. Don Rafa kiss the feet of the instructor, for giving peace of mind that every parent deserves in a situation like this, and especially for having descend with Nobel with extreme care.



14:01 - Momento de extrema emoción, Richi Knapps -el hombre que ideó toda esta aventura y la propulsó- abraza a Nobel y ambos explotan en lágrimas. Se había cumplido el sueño anhelado por ambos después de mucho tiempo.
14:01 - A moment of extreme emotion, Richi Knapps -the man who conceived the whole adventure and propelled- embraces Nobel and both explode in tears. They had fulfilled the dream cherished by the two after a long time.



Las lágrimas de Nobel en este momento muy intenso y emotivo, emocionan hasta al más férreo de los militares y hasta al más sensible de los fotógrafos, quien les escribe.
Nobel's tears at this time very intense and emotional, thrill even the military with most iron will and even the most sensitive of the photographers, who writes here.



14:05 - Don Rafa abraza a Richi Knapps y con alegría y emoción dice "Este es el culpable de toda esta locura, éste es el loco que quiso llevar a cabo este tema".

14:07 - Así como lo hicieron antes de la partida hacia el cielo, parientes y los paracaidistas que ya han llevado sus equipos al hangar, posan una vez más para la foto; pero esta vez con un Nobel que ya tuvo su salto número 1.

Nobel me pide dos fotografías con personas especiales y muy queridas por él, primero con Richi Knapps, el autor de esta "travesura" del día de hoy y luego con su profesor que vino a mirar su salto.

14:20 - Don Rafa fue a buscar a Rafi del Grupo Aero-táctico porque el avión ya había aterrizado. Mientras tanto, Richi muestra a Nobel y algunos amigos la filmación del salto y la caída libre de Nobel que no sólo estará guardado en su corazón para siempre sino que también en ese video. 14:20 - Don Rafa went to took Rafi from the Aero-tactical Unit, because the plane had landed. Meanwhile, Richi shows to Nobel and some friends the shooting the jump and free fall of Nobel that not only will be kept in his heart forever but also in this video.
