Simplemente inolvidable. | The October 9th rhis event was held for the first time in the country. An entire day dedicated to TOGA, an ideology of life which often appeals to me but I have not enough time so far to internalize and adopt it as a doctrine. This nonprofit event takes place in many countries and is gaining popularity. The Yoga people I know, I can say is people who have peace within and a huge emotional balance. Today's post I confess it is one that reassures me, because I go back to that Saturday, where I will not forget that afternoon, with relaxing music, quiet voices, the spiritual force that is felt in the environment and the connection of every soul among those present with others. Simply unforgettable. |
16:32 - The event began early in the morning but I came for the afternoon shift. Here people are preparing in silence among the trees between their trunks let in the gentle sound of the wind, ready to receive the Main Conference and Meditation for Peace, a half hour later.
A nun talks to a woman about the organization of the event and other information about institutions and the practice of Yoga.
My friend Yehimy Alison talking with Mr. William Gallo, owner of a 100% natural, self-sustaining house within the country.
16:36 - Nearly six feet tall, an imposing figure approached the scene, Gurubachan Singh Khalsa, who minutes later was going to give the Main Conference and Meditation for Peace. Several background instrumental music played, transmitting tranquility and inner peace.
17:10 - It was minutes ago since the Guru started his Conference with a good Spanish-American accent, 26ºC temperature in the environment that did not feel under the shade of trees, with a pleasant breeze that allowed no room for heat.
Guru's silhouette behind the curtain of the stage while performing his conference.
A glass of water, the fan and the photo of his former mentor for over three decades, the Grand Master Yogi Bhajan accompanying Gurubachan. His quiet in the speech, the music that accompanied it, its entertaining and endearing phrases, formed a moment full of magic and relaxation. Peace was in the air, while people practiced the breathing in this session of Kundalini.
While Gurubachan was still making breathing exercises along with people, in other areas of the site any could have a 15 minutes free therapy with other teachers.
The Gurubachan teaches people about Pranayama (breath control), and we find all sorts of people among the public, practicing these teachings of Yoga, couples, families, people who came alone, children, etc.
A little further away from the main group but making use of the offered good shade of trees nearby, a small number of people effected breathing exercises.
To this day, people were advised to bring comfortable clothing, blanket or mat and even tereré, to appease the sun's heat.
I was struck by those who had more than special costumes for the occasion, with some even had turbans. These cotton turbans allow the head to be covered, so one can command his sixth chakra. The chakras are the energy centers of the human being, in some books are accounted as seven, but six in others.
The Gurubachan magnetized everyone with his gentle voice, that allowed to stay in a state of very strong concentration, coupled with the quiet of the place where only you could hear the soft chirping of birds and the Guru's instructions, accompanied by endearing melodies of Snatam Kaur in the background.
One of the instructors observes at the Gurubachan during his exercise of Meditation for Peace.
In order to achieve exercises that produce higher intensity in breathing, Gurubachan asks people to extend their arms for several minutes.
Incense sticks are buried in the grass and lit, so that in the atmosphere produce sensations that affect multiple senses, and enhance the energy force of the people.
One of the instructors who photographed the event, takes a moment to review your images.
Three of Sat Bachan's dancers smiled at herselves, minutes before Gurubachan's ending exercises and present their dances on stage.
A young man performed the last breathing exercises, while the Gurubachan recommended that these exercises should be practiced every day a few minutes, and it could even give them longevity.
People raise their hands at the end of the breathing exercises in this wonderful Kundalini session with the Gurubachan, where he gave minutes of absolute peace. The important thing is to be good with yourself, and throughout the hour and a half of activity we felt the connection that existed between all present.
Sat Bachan dancers showed the typical Bhangra Dance, North India's Punjab region. Is a dance that combines joy with exhilarating and intense pace.
Finally, Ashram school dancers performed dances where spared no moving her hips, trapping all the people and giving the closure to an excellent day full of peace and energy.
