| Happy 2011 to everyone! personally I have one year with a lot of hurry by what I see, because just yesterday I was sharing with you my POST "January's Angels" and with a little time I went to the celebrations that took place in the Cabildo, to welcome this year, in what became known as the "Great salute to the Bicentennial Year". The Municipality of Asuncion, the Bicentennial Commission prepared a great feast for the January 1, in the holiday where the downtown streets dressed in red, white and blue this year where we will celebrate two centuries of independent country. I invite you to see this POST without 3D glasses to enjoy mapping and other activities that delighted the public at night. |
19:30 - The people on the streets near of the City Council use outfits alluding to the Bicentennial.
20:03 - The Bicentennial Children's Choir is coming to the stage to kick off the music and festivities.
20:21 - The assistant director of the Choir of Childrens of the Bicentennial, Benito Román, run the first chords of the Paraguayan national anthem, performed by the young tenor José Mongelós and the audience. The children then masterfully interpret the beautiful and melodic "I am of the Chacarita" and "kera Yvoty Chokokue" directed by Benito, and in the piano the choir director, Carlos María Cazal.
20:47 - Young technicians and directors of "La Doble A" company in charge of mapping, make final adjustments and testing for the great 3D projection on the facade of the Cabildo.
20:51 - Gustavo Cabañas and Omar Mareco gave it the touch of humor to the night with a sketch where their represented Juana Maria Lara and Dr. Jose Gaspar Rodriguez de Francia. We also had a cameo appearance later with them of the "Trompo Arasa" character of the Bicentennial.
20:56 - The Bicentennial Harps are ready, are 100 of these instruments and belong to "Sounds of Earth", which will begin to delight in minutes with more music show.
"Sounds of Earth" is a group created by Master Luis Szarán, comprising more than 2,000 young people and poor children, over 70 communities in the interior of the country. The idea is to combat youth violence, enhance their self-esteem and boost Paraguay's rural communities through music.
21:19 - One of the technicians in charge of mapping, checks lighting and framing before the 3D presentation. Those who were unaware about this, we find a lot of concern and curiosity about how it will be projected.
21:38 - Then between the dances of different cultures, make the colorful presentation with sounds of drums and beautiful skin tones, the Afro-Paraguayan ballet Kamba Cua, led by Lazaro Medina.
21:50 - Finally comes the most awaited by all, starts the projection of 3D Mapping in the front of the Cabildo. The wife of Vice President Don Federico Franco, takes a memory of the projection of memory in her cellphone.
Under the general direction of Margarita Morselli, the local art director Carlo Spatuzza, and the historical script by Margarita Duran Estragó, Guido Rodríguez Alcalá and Victor Jacinto Flecha, the mapping offered five acts well defined, where lanterns toured the Cabildo, the Bells of our churches announced the Independence, old stamps, portraits of the heroes, the daily Cabichu'í during the Triple Alliance, and the newspaper headlines announcing the Chaco War, with images of Marshal José Félix Estigarribia and Eligio Ayala. I was moved to tears by the presentation, because that special someone missing from my side to enjoy with me.
The contemporary Paraguay was represented with pieces covering the dark period of the dictatorship of Alfredo Stroessner, to end the democratic process of the Constituent Assembly, the Paraguayan March and the assumption of command of Fernando Lugo.
The latest lasers projection made the excitement of the public after more than 10 minutes of mapping projected in front of the Cabildo, which managed to captivate, throwing gasps and applause from the audience.

10:05 - Finally the fireworks showed up behind the Cabildo, which was enjoyed by the thousands of people in the adjacent spaces.
10:13 - Mission accomplished, guys. Led by director Esteban Sapir, Francisco Marques and Joaquin Alcaro, from La Doble A, the mapping surprised and caught the audience, in a presentation never made before in this country.
10:21 - Thousands of people enjoy the end of this feast, in the January 1, when it comes to the music of the K-Chiporros that made the audience enjoy dancing and singing "Lugo es el Yacaré" modification their popular music "Yo sólo soy el Yacaré".
22:26 - My sister holds one of the pins of the bicentennial, that my friend Fabiola Gaiardelli gave to me. These pins were handed over to the present and some participants. I hope that this emblem stays with me in the other activities that will have this year that promises more fireworks, more music, dance, culture, art and hopefully... mapping.
| Thank you very much, as I had written before one year may be moved, because of all the parties to come in the next few days, until reaching patriotic dates in May. The mapping was able to captivate people, and that means that what awaits us in May will be much better if this is just only the beginning. For my part, I will do my best to share with you everything in which I'm a participant, and I set the goal that the weekends will be my mini-vacations and I will travel to places that I never trod, and parties that I never attended. Have a great year! |
