Continúo donde me había quedado... ah, sí... Luego de un día marcado por nubes grises donde el sol no se animaba a aparecer y el clima se confabulaba para ofrecernos lágrimas de bonanza, llegó el festejo principal del Bicentenario. La noche del 14 de Mayo, 200 años atrás, era el hito que marcaba el inicio de nuestra historia como país independiente, y hoy se festejaría con la proyección del "mapping" sobre la fachada del Palacio de López; tal como habíamos vivido algo similar a inicio del año en mi POST "Bienvenido Año del Bicentenario!".

I'll continue where I left the story... oh, yes... After a day marked by gray clouds where the sun did not dare to come and the weather conspired to offer tears of goodness, it came the main celebration of the Bicentennial. On the night of May 14, 200 years ago, was the milestone that marked the beginning of our history as an independent country, and today would feast with the screening of "mapping" on the facade of Palacio de Lopez, as we had experienced something similar at the start of the year in my POST "Welcome, Bicentennial Year!".

20:22 - Un gran show artístico presagiaba una hermosa noche, acompañada de una brisa que venía desde el río y el calor humano de las más de 100.000 personas que se encontraban en el Parque Litoral, dispuestos a disfrutar del Mapping y el Vy'a Guasu del Bicentenario.
20:22 - A large art show was presaged in a beautiful night, accompanied by a breeze coming from the river and the warmth of the more than 100,000 people were attend in the Parque Litoral, ready to enjoy the Mapping and the Vy'a Guasu of the Bicentennial.

20:30 - Con mucha puntualidad, característica que profesa el Presidente Fernando Lugo quien estuvo presente, comenzó el mapping proyectado sobre la fachada del Palacio de López. Miles de Paraguayos disfrutaron de 10 minutos de una manifestación artística con mucha carga emocional e histórica, tal como la que había ocurrido cinco meses atrás en el Cabildo. Miles de luces de celulares y cámaras centelleaban en medio de las sombras del público.
20:30 - With great punctuality, a feature that professes President Fernando Lugo who was present, began the mapping projected onto the facade of the Palacio de López. Thousands of Paraguayans enjoyed 10 minutes of an art form with great emotional and historical charge, as had happened five months ago in the Cabildo. 21:00 - Comienza la "Serenata Bicentenario", con la presentación de numerosos y destacados artistas nacionales. Las cantantes Yberá y Diana Barboza, deleitan al público con guaranias.

Las cuerdas del arpa vibran y retumban ante los miles de presentes en el Parque Litoral, de la mano de César Cataldo.

21:13 - El espectáculo no se detiene un segundo y los artistas van pasando y dejando todo en el escenario. De las cuerdas del arpa, pasamos a otro instrumento de cuerda (percutida), con los melodiosos acordes del maestro Oscar Faella.

21:56 - El Grupo de Teatro "Che Burrito" se aproximaba al Parque Litoral en una murga callejera que combinaba artistas vestidos con ropas de la época colonial y muñecos gigantes alegóricos de Próceres y una bandita musical. Este grupo sacrificado, devenido de un humilde barrio de Lambaré, presentaba esta intervención de manera solidaria con el IMA, y de esta manera reclamar la presencia del Teatro Nacional en los festejos del Bicentenario. 21:56 - The Theater Group "Che Burrito" was heading to the Parque Litoral in a street band that combined street artists dressed in colonial clothes and giant puppets allegorical of heroes, and musica. This group, become from a humble neighborhood of Lambaré, and had this statement in solidarity with the IMA, thus claim the presence of the National Theater in the Bicentennial.

23:05 - Miles de personas se fueron sumando a lo largo de la noche en esta gran fiesta, familias enteras y amigos, para disfrutar de un show artístico que nunca se vivió igual en todo el país.
23:05 - Thousands of people were added throughout the night in this great celebration, families and friends to enjoy an artistic show never lived the same in the country.

23:43 - Un juego de luces anunciaba que en minutos volverá a ser proyectado el mapping en la fachada del Palacio, debido a la gran cantidad de personas que no pudieron llegar a tiempo por la masiva concurrencia en el centro, que ocasionó retrasos en el tráfico. Mientras tanto, otros shows artísticos caracterizados mayormente por bailes tradicionales se realizaban en la Plaza de la Democracia. Pero faltaba poco tiempo para el 15 de mayo, día donde se celebraban los 200 años de independencia. 23:43 - A set of lights announcing in minutes that will be projected the mapping on the facade of the Palace again, because to the large number of people who could not arrive in time for the crowds in the center, which caused traffic delays. Meanwhile, other art shows mainly characterized by traditional dances were held in the Plaza de la Democracia. But there was little time for the May 15, the day which celebrated 200 years of independence.

23:55 - Segunda presentación del mapping, que emocionó al nuevo público presente y también lo hizo a quienes lo vieron por primera vez.
23:55 - Second presentation of the mapping, which thrilled the new audience which arrived, and again to those who saw it first.

23:58 - Durante la segunda presentación del mapping, la Plaza de la Democracia se llenaba de fuegos artificiales anunciando la llegada del 15 de Mayo. Paraguay recuerda así el grito de Libertad!, de aquella madrugada ocurrida 200 años atrás.
23:58 - During the second presentation of the mapping, the Plaza de la Democracia was full of fireworks announcing the arrival of May 15. Paraguay remembers the cry of Freedom! of that morning which occurred 200 years ago.

00:00 - Apenas terminado el mapping, la gente disfruta de los primeros fuegos artificiales lanzados desde los buques anclados en la bahía.
00:00 - Just finished the mapping, and people enjoy the first fireworks launched from the ships in the bay.

Diez minutos de fuegos artificiales que explotaban en el cielo de manera incesante, iluminando el Parque Litoral, la Bahía y los corazones de más de 100.000 almas presentes que se emocionaron y se llevaron el recuerdo de esa noche única.
Ten minutes of fireworks exploding in the sky apparently without end, illuminating the Parque Litoral, the Bay and the hearts of over 100,000 souls present who were moved and carried the memory of that unique night.

00:17 - Acabado el show y luego de la despedida triunfal, el público se retira del Parque Litoral creando una marea de miles de almas que marchaban con sonrisas y recuerdos imborrables.
00:17 - The show has finished, and after the triumphant farewell, the audience is walking away from the Parque Litoral creating a tide of thousands of souls who marched with smiles and lasting memories.

00:50 - Este es el día del Bicentenario y la gente aún no se quiere marchar por más que hayan acabado los números artísticos. Cientos y miles copan el corazón del centro, ubicado en Palma y Chile, cantando el Himno a la Raza (Patria Querida) y otras músicas nacionales. La fiesta no quiere acabarse.
00:50 - This is the day of the Bicentennial and people still do not want to leave even though the artistic numbers have finished. Hundreds and thousands stay at the heart of downtown, located in Palma and Chile, singing the Hymn of Race (Patria Querida) and other national music. The party doesn't want to end.

01:06 - Para el jolgorio de la gente, un grupo de danza que había actuado anteriormente en la Plaza de la Democracia durante el show del Parque Litoral, irrumpe la calle acompañados de una bandita y continúan con el Vy'a Guasu para hacer bailar a todos los presentes. Esto fue una gran fiesta que se extendió hasta casi las 2 de la mañana.
01:06 - For the fun of the people, a dance group that had acted earlier in the Plaza de la Democracia during the show on the Parque Litoral, breaks the street with an music band and continue the Vy'a Guasu to dance with all the presents. This was a big party that lasted until nearly 2 am.

Increíble y emocionante mapping que cautivó a muchos y otros simplemente se dignaron en criticar. Pero hoy no había lugar para los negativos de siempre, hoy había lugar tan sólo para rescatar esos trazos de viejas heridas que fueron recordadas en la proyección, así como también recordar las viejas épocas de grandes artistas cuya trayectoria y alcance mundial hoy en día se hace muy difícil de igualar, no sólo por la globalización, sino más bien por el pasivo apoyo que se le da a la cultura, no sólo de los gobiernos de turno sino que en muchas ocasiones por la propia sociedad que se encarga de valorizarlo muy escasamente. No siempre es así y no siempre será así, porque se siente que vamos avanzando, vamos creciendo y el futuro nos traerá muchas sorpresas. Paraguay hoy se encuentra con la mirada de los demás puestas en nosotros, y debemos hacer un buen papel. El talento nacional se siente y transita con fluidez en todos estos días de fiesta, y esperemos que así como el río, inunde las costas de la ignorancia y no se estanque con sedimentos de politiquería y ambición personal de quienes son protagonistas en el poder. Desde este momento ya cumplimos 200 años de vida independiente, todo lo que hagamos de ahora en más, que sean grandes acciones y nombres que se proyecten y recuerden en el 2111.

An amazing and exciting mapping that captivated many and to others simply want to criticize. But today there was no room for negative thoughs, just today there was room to rescue those strokes of old wounds that were recalled in the projection, and also remember the old times of great artists whose history was of worldwide reaching, and today is very difficult to achieve, not only because globalization, but rather by the passive support given to the culture, not only by the government in power but in many cases by the society that handles to barely appreciate it. Not always and not always be so, because we can feel that we move forward, we grow and the future will bring many surprises. Paraguay is today through the eyes of others which put on us, and we have to do it well. National talent can be felt, and it travels fluent in all these days, and hopefully as a river, flooding the coasts of ignorance and trying to not pond with sediments of politicking and personal ambition of players who are in power. From this point we already reached 200 years of independence, everything we do from now on, should be great actions and names that will be projected and remember in the 2111.
