Las fiestas del Bicentenario prácticamente se acabaron, aunque en el centro capitalino aún continúan pocos festejos, pero ya sin la masiva concurrencia como en los primeros días. Por un lado me da tristeza debido a esa poca participación, la que me hace pensar que el espíritu y el fervor se acabaron, pero por otro lado me da alegría de haber estado presente como un testigo más y de poder disfrutar cada uno de los eventos en los que estuve. De igual modo, espero que de aquí a un año volvamos a vestir con orgullo las escarapelas, banderas, remeras de la albirroja, etc; y vuelvan a florecer las actividades culturales, populares y artísticas que fueron el timón central de estos festejos. Ojalá de aquí a un año, más compatriotas que están en el rubro, puedan de nuevo ofrecer a los ciudadanos su talento, su tiempo y su arte. Todo depende de las autoridades. Cierro de esta manera, mi último POST sobre el Bicentenario Paraguayo con dos días más de fiesta patriótica, y espero poder seguir trabajando con más POSTs en este blog en el futuro. | Visit my previous POSTs about the Bicentennial in: "Welcome, Bicentennial's Year!", "Bicentennial Fever"; "Bicentennial: 12/13th of May", "Bicentennial: 14ht of may (Part 1)", "Bicentennial: 14th of may (Part 2)" and "Bicentennial: 15th of may". The Bicentennial celebrations practically finished, although in the downtown of the capital are still a few festivals, but without the crowds as in the early days. On one hand I'm sad because of the little participation, which makes me think that the spirit and fervor are gone, but otherwise I am happy to have been present as a witness and to enjoy each of the events where I was. Similarly, I hope that within one year, we back to proudly wear badges, flags, T-shirts of the albirroja, etc., and the relaunching of cultural, artistic and popular activities, which were the central helm of the festivities. Su inauguración estaba prevista para el 14 pero tuvo que postergarse dos veces debido a las inclemencias del tiempo. 18:49 - De los ocho globos aerostáticos que vinieron de Oberá, Misiones (Argentina), esta noche tan sólo seis harían su presentación. Diversas mesas y sillones fueron dispuestos frente a la fachada litoral del Palacio de López, porque se llevaría a cabo la "XI Conferencia Iberoamericana de Ministros de Turismo", organizada por nuestra Ministra de Turismo Liz Crámer.18:49 - Of the eight balloons that came from Oberá, Misiones (Argentina), tonight only six would make their presentation. La modalidad se conoce como "vuelo cautivo" y significa que los globos aerostáticos no volarán libremente por el cielo, debido a las inclemencias del tiempo. Destaco que en los días previos, en algunos de los lugares donde se presentaron el panorama fue similar y los globos no podían mostrar todo su esplendor zurcando el cielo paraguayo.The method is known as "captive flight" and means that the balloons will not fly freely through the sky, due to inclement weather.
